Jennifer ChiaveriniJennifer Chiaverini is the New York Times bestselling author of several acclaimed historical novels and the beloved Elm Creek Quilts series, as well as six collections of quilt patterns inspired by her books.
Her original quilt designs have been featured in Country Woman, Quiltmaker, Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volumes 3-5, and Quilt, and her short stories have appeared in Quiltmaker and Quilters Newsletter. She also designed the Elm Creek Quilts fabric lines for Red Rooster Fabrics. She wrote a book, ''The Quilter's Apprentice''' which was released in 1999.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago, she taught writing in the English Departments of Penn State and Edgewood College. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin.

Chiaverini's 2016 book, ''Fates and Traitors'' tells the story of John Wilkes Booth from Wilkes point of view.
